About

Sorry For Your Loss is a podcast that talks about talking about grief.

Even though everyone will eventually experience the grief associated with losing a loved one – a family member, friend, mentor, child, pet – it’s hard to know what to say to a friend who is grieving.

When Holly’s dad died, Ellen didn’t know what to say or do. And as best friends that felt… weird. To say the least. How could it be so hard to talk to your friend about the death of their parent?

Through a series of conversations, Ellen and Holly are sorting through how to support friends when they’re grieving. What can you do to support a grieving friend? What happens when a parent dies? How is grieving different when you’re young or old?

As millennials, our friend group is entering a phase where grief is inevitable, and as a communicative bunch it’s up to us to change the conversation around death and grief.
